With genuine respect for the original piece, the litterateur and author Thomas Bredsdorff has adapted Holberg’s philosophical comedy concerning the drunken farmer, Jeppe, who ends up in the baron’s bed. Jeppe stands alone on stage and the remaining characters of the play are evoked with simple scenic effects. Simple and brilliant!
