Set in ancient China, the play follows a banished poet who has bought a bottomless well used by unhappy locals to end their suffering. Who may choose to die in this well, and for what reason, becomes his obsession. Then the beautiful Hasi appears, and seems disinclined to jump in. Chin begins to hope she won't. A dark and entertaining look at love and its secrets.
