The play takes place in a Tokyo hotel bar and revolves around the neurotic painter Mark and his promiscuous wife Miriam who tries to seduce the bartender whilst her husband walks around naked on a big canvas with a spray-gun in his hotel room, convinced that he has developed a new technique. He is in a state of some spiritual and physical dissolution as he joins his uncontrollable wife who tries to talk him into going home to Manhattan with the friend and the artist agent Leonard by his side. However, Mark’s sudden death thwarts her plans and soon, she finds herself in an existential vacuum. An incredibly funny tragicomedy about lust, deceit, alcohol and marriage.
