This short play from the Thatcher/Reagan era begins with a North American couple on holiday, hunting for history and familial roots in the English countryside. Their idyllic views soon become distorted, as their newfound young relatives force them to help cover up a murder. The second part is set in the USA, where the rootlessness and amorality of the British cousins, now being the tourists, take on even wider proportions. Humourous observations and searing cynicism come together in a spare style.
