The musical Hodja from Pjort is a magnificent story about the boy Hodja. He does not like going to school and would rather go and see the world. Hodja lives in the country of Bulgislav where his father, a tailor, has been completely cockeyed of tailoring. The only one who listens to Hodja’s adventurous longings is the old El-Faza, who lends Hodja a flying carpet. Hodja immediately begins to practice how to fly the carpet, and soon he embarks on a travel. He arrives at the capital, Petto. Here lives the Sultan, the richest and most powerful man in the country, with 234 wives. The Sultan gets hold of the carpet, and now Hodja must use his wits and cunning to get hold of the blanket again. Sebastian has created a real family musical with his fine and catchy music.
