The play is about young people in their teen-age years with Mixer the boxer at the centre. One Saturday night Laurie who is a rebel tempts him to leave his working routine, petit bourgeois attitude and to seek adventure. Mixer and Laurie start off in different directions while the other young people return to the safety of their homes where lunch is waiting .
