Harriet leaves the party as she thinks it is time to go. She looks up in the sky and sees all her things fly around between the stars. All of a sudden she flies up there herself and firstly arrives in heaven. Måvens owns a candy shop and has a problem; for 144 days he has taken good care of the shop, but not a single costumer has bothered to pop in. Now, he composes his partings in the diary about to commit suicide. Peder decides to go out in the clear and frosty night. One by one, frozen tears fall from his eyes and at the same time he loses his heart. He sees a shooting star and yearns for his childhood. Life does not only consist of beginnings, highlights and endings. An intermediate state also exists, a void in which the previous has passed and the new has not begun yet. This void can be so empty it forces the person who involuntarily is in the middle of it to look into his trembling self, in order to once again stand on the mountain peak and shout: “I am happy! I am rich! I got him! I rock!” The story deals with this void. Harriet has lost contact with reality, Måvens’ dream has shattered and Peder has burnt his bridges. It all looks quite hopeless and when the story ends, the new has not yet begun. But it is on its way.
