This is a dramatic yet poetic monologue inspired by Oscar Wilde’s character, Dorian Gray. Gray is a young beautiful man, who wants to believe in God. His wish is fulfilled, though in a rather diabolic manner, as he become a plastic surgeon, who is able to recreate man. So, as in the original story, Gray ‘sells’ his soul in order to uphold his handsome appearance. However, when looking in the mirror, he cannot hide from seeing his own soul in depravity trapped in his decaying body.
