This is a searing play about rape. That it is, and much more: it is also about the breaking point we all have, the extremity in all of us over which, when pushed hard enough, we tumble into violence. It is truly an incredibly gripping drama about a young woman who is attacked in her own home by a rapist. She manages to overpower the man, and imprisons him, bound, inside her fireplace gate. She then proceeds to exact her revenge. When her roommate return she is so crazy they wonder who to believe – their wild-eyed roommate, or the guy in their fireplace who claims he was attacked when he stopped by to use her phone. Eventually, the roommate has to try to talk the victim out of her ultimate revenge – burying the rapist alive!
