Kjeld Abell experiments with the renewing of the theatre form which all started with his play THE LOST MELODY (MELODIEN DER BLEV VÆK). The comedy takes place in an art museum and deals with the question how to bring up children, encouraging critical thinking. The tyranny of tradition of the (simple) bourgeois family: You have to practice boredom in a decent way… The heartless and brainless rote learning in primary school…The conscientious and loveless marriage… The intimate relation with the past (not the future) is the object of Kjeld Abell’s witty, sparkling and précis.-e stage language. The lines, the scene, the sound and the cheery whims all form a synthesis.
