The most frequently performed Argentina comedy of our time is a seven part cycle entitled ”Heptalogía de Hieronymus Bosch”, in which modern equivalents to the classic deadly sins are sought out. By linking modern popular myths with literary references from Dante to Chekhov and advanced themes from quant physics, Spregelburd has written a highly intelligent and insanely entertaining trash comedy about the sin of covetousness and greed. Five actors in 24 roles are sent on a breathless quest to find earthly happiness in a world obsessed with the thought of wealth and regularity. The fact that everything ends in chaos and hysteria is a completely different story! The story takes place in the rooms of almost identical motels in the outskirts of Las Vegas among swindlers, members of the mafia, art dealers, police officers, gamblers, actors and a mathematician called Finnegan, who has found an equation capable of making it possible to encrypt the secret of the apocalypse. - An equation that coincidently comes close to a method that allows you to win in roulette every time. In his attempt to keep the equation a secret, his destiny is weaved together with the other characters in a way that enables all strings of action to take unexpected and entertaining turns. Are there any errors of Finnegan’s calculations? The play has been produced with great success at The National Theatre of London, Schaubühne in Berlin, the Theatre Basel, and is premiering at the Thaatstheatre Stuttgart, Juli 2007.
