Soya’s grotesque story about a family and an Earwig measuring 2 meters was the first book to be banned during the German occupation of Denmark. On a summer’s day, a family is sitting by the table in their garden as an earwig falls into the butter. The beast grows in the family’s care, and bullies the entire house while a series of misfortune comes down on the peaceful family. Premiered at Aveny-T in 2004.
