This is the harsh story about the young proletarian woman Ditte, who is sent out to work at a farm at an early age, after an upbringing at her grand mother’s. The story triumphs on stage with a fitting touch of humour and sentimentality. Ditte has a good heart but is still treated poorly by her surroundings.
