The cult novel, “The Dice Man” by Luke Rheinhart, inspired Paul Lucas to write this clever black comedy which was very successful in Edinburgh and in London’s West End. The psychiatrist Dr. Ratner has founded a treatment home for dice therapy, in which the patients are encouraged to surrender themselves to the power of the dice – a treatment that leads to bizarre activities. Another psychiatrist, Dr. Drabble, who feels nothing but contempt for the therapy, has to force the Dice House when he discovers that his wife is one of the newest patients. With a cunning plan he forces Matthew, one of his former patients, to enter the house and kidnap his wife. Similar to most good farces everything is bound to go wrong. It is immensely entertaining.
