3 F / 1 M Drama 1999 This is the story of a famous painter, obsessed with his art and his ego. He does not see other people and is blind to the women in which he mirrors himself. He arouses compassion in these women while at the same time he appears dangerous and destructive. Two possibilities are presented: One may choose to live alone, or with another person. This, in turn, leads to two more possibilities: One may be alone and happy about it, or alone and unhappy about it. Furthermore, it is possible to be a couple and be happy about that, or to be a couple and be unhappy about it. The point of Werdelin's play is that all of the possibilities are bad, and consequently all are destined to go wrong.
