THE LADY AND THE UNICORN is a perplexing story told in an obvious detective drama style with underlying jazz and characters that are indeed in a quandary. Chad and Minna are a couple planning to marry. Minna works as a correspondent for a TV station and travels a lot. During her travels, her distrust in Chad is immense – what is he doing? Is he really loyal and faithful, simply waiting for her to come home like people tell her? Minna has no tangible reason upon which to build her mistrust – perhaps her concerns are based on her fear of him copying her own acts of betrayal – maybe Minna is not exactly innocent herself. When Chad puts her to the test, the final truth is revealed. An excellent play about emotional deceit.
