This play takes place on a little island just off the shore of Ireland. Very much to the point and most touchingly it describes a minimalist community, where news is rare and therefore rarely believed though where also dreams and expectations thrive extremely well.
The author of THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LENAANE has done it again. With acute certainty, the characters are drawn through a simple dialogue that yet offers immense depths between the lines; altogether, this play consists of all the right ingredients to a wonderful evening in the theatre.
