CRITICS’ CHOICE –”Tough social analysis meets sexual politics in Leyton’s lurid debut […] He deserves an Oscar.” was Time Out’s comment about Dominic Leyton’s debut play – one of the best reviewed British plays for a long time. The recipe is thus: use equal parts of comedy, thriller and Tarantino. Mix it up with a good story, a sharp dialogue, quick lines, original characters, grotesque situations and thereupon, pour gasoline with a high octane rating over it all. Finally, add a flaming match. Two very different men meet in a flat somewhere in London: the seedy criminal D, and the businessman Tom who wants to commit suicide as he is tired of his work at the office and his girlfriend left him. But instead of getting what he came to purchase – a gun – a barrel of a riffle is pointed at tom’s face, as is the demand to hand over the £800 and then go to hell. Suddenly D’s boss turns up!
