This play revolves around the established Jewish author, Ruth Steiner, who teaches Creative Writing at a university. One of her new students is the young author Lisa Morrison, who eventually becomes her assistant and apprentice and over the next couple of years they become confidants. At least that is how Ruth sees it. Because, years later, when Ruth is struggling with the so called ‘writer’s block’, Lisa comes out with a new novel that much to Ruth’s surprise and disappointment, is based on a very private experienced that she once confided in Lisa. Effectively, it is a gripping psychological thriller about trust and treachery that offers two wonderful female parts. Furthermore, ‘Collected Stories’ acclaimed great success in New York and subsequently in London’s West End, starring Helen Mirren as Ruth Stiener.
