A new musical based on the beloved film, Charles Tante. Charles and Peter persuade their friend Ditlev to pose as a chaperone so they can flirt with their crushes Laura and Lone during the summer. Reluctantly, Ditlev dresses up as Charles’ aunt, the Brazilian multimillionaire Donna Lucia d’Alvadorez, as he himself is nursing a broken heart and harbors no hopes of finding love. However, unfortunately for Ditlev, both the greedy neighbor, Lohmann, and the landowner Frederik Ahlefeldt are drawn to the idea of the aunt’s wealth, and problems escalate when the real Donna shows up. Meanwhile, the chosen girls in this version have long since figured out the deception and have some surprises of their own up their sleeves.

With permission from Arvid Müller’s heirs, the film script has been given a modern twist and the characters further depth. But fans of the classic will recognize both the story and several lines as Ditlev and his friends flirt away in the Danish summer in this wonderful farce about love, mistaken identities, and gender. Key elements are sun, charm, champagne, samba, and 24 new songs
