The technical skills in Marceau’s drama are as less academic in its theatrical form as it was in “The egg”. The theme is near related – a study in desperation – but it is worked out with a – if possible – greater wildness and comical effectiveness in situations and dialogues. This time the women have the central theme and they are also entrusted the leading roles.
