This play takes place at a psychiatric hospital ward, where two doctors need deciding whether a patient is ready to be discharged. The one doctor, who has followed the patient’s progress, thinks it irresponsible, whereas his more career focused colleague, believes that there is no reason for the patient to take up an expensive space any further.
Nevertheless, the patient claims that the oranges in a bowl are blue and that he is the son of Idi Amin who seemingly, is often on vacation in Paris and furthermore has got some good political connections.
So some of the questions raised are: When is a person considered mentally ill or just on the verge of psychosis? And how does society get the most out of its money?
Hence, a line of controversial, ethical and existential questions are involved in this unusual and highly contemporary comedy.
