BALKAN IS NOT DEAD describes the religious and cultural clashes in Southern Europe after the fall of the Ottoman Empire in the inter-war period. Osman Bay, a well-to-do Turkish landowner falls in love with the woman, whose man he has cold-bloodedly murdered, which sends him out on an emotional journey. The story is played out in 40 sequential scenes that quickly and concise draws a portrait of a bizarre and conflicting time of unrest and upheaval, where the controversies are rather human than political.
