Robin Glendinning was born in Belfast. He taught English and History at Omagh Academy and RBAI. He was a founder member and election candidate for the Alliance Party in Northern Ireland and worked as a full-time party organizer for several years in the 1970s. He has written plays for stage, radio and television, and has been a full-time writer since 1992.
