Nicolas Stemann studies German and philosophy at the University of Hamburg and direction at the Max Reinhardt-Seminar in Vienna and at the Theatre Academy in Hamburg. He has worked as a director since 1995 and has directed at Akademietheater in Vienna, Hamburger Thalia Theater, Burgtheater in Vienna and Deutschen Theater in Berlin. He has been nominated for the Nestroy-Theaterpreis three times, and one time for the Faust-Theaterpreis.
