Karsten Alnæs

Karsten Alnæs was born in 1938 in Hønefoss, Norway. He worked as a senior master at grammar school and at school of journalism. He was president of the Norwegian Writers Society in 1985-87 and a cultural editor of Dagbladet in 1987-91. He made his debut as a writer in 1975 with the collection of short stories, entitled “The Veps”. In 1976 he won the novel competition of Aschehoug. Alnæs has received various literary awards.
