A sad, but beautiful musical saga for children and adults based on Astrid Lindgren’s story about the 8-year-old poor and orphaned girl Malin, whose dreams make a linden tree grow from a pea she has laid in the ground. She herself turns into a singing nightingale.

Music plays an important part and consists of an overture and ten songs. The goal has been to create a mix of folk and pop music that highlights Astrid Lindgren’s beautiful text and supports the mood of the story.

The ensemble consists of soloist and four-part choir.

Orchestra: Piano, cello, flute, electric guitar, electric bass and percussion.
