Peter sits and reads at his beloved bench at the Central Park, when he’s disturbed by the stranger, Jerry, who wants to take possession of the bench. Under the common title “Peter and Jerry”, “The Zoo Story” can be played together with the one act play “Homelife”, where Peter is looking for a nice and quiet place to read his book when he’s constantly being interrupted by his wife who wants to discuss trivial things such as spinach, cats, children, marriage, sex and morals.
