The year is 1850, and Karl Marx and his family are living as refugees in London. He should be writing his great work on capitalism, but spies are watching his every move, creditors are taking all of their furniture and he himself seems to prefer pubs to work. Now he has to deal with a duel, pawning a family heirloom, and a pregnant maid – just to mention a few of his problems.
