This play deals with four people who all, under their cool and sound appearances, hide insecurities in love and sex. However, when all four are to share a house, a simple affair becomes a dangerous fight between the sexes. It is certainly one of Ayckbourn’s most powerful plays of late, as at the same time, it is gruesome and juicy as well as extremely funny.
