Erik Bent Svendlund is considered to be Denmark’s uncrowned king of open-air performances and with this musical he has portrayed the great Danish composer Jacob Gade who is still frequently played throughout the world, not least because of his TANGO JEALOUSY.
It is a truly magnificent show and spiced up with a long succession of compositions such as waltz, polka and tango, it is a particularly fine tribute to the great Danish composer.
We are introduced to Jacob Gade at the age of twelve, in the beginning of the previous century. And so we follow him from the early days when performing with his father to subsequently creating his own glorious career that took him around the world, despite that fact that he was denied acceptance at the Danish Music Conservatoire.
The show is equally suited for indoor as outdoor productions.
