This is a new adaptation of one of the most beloved children’s books in the world.
The version came about as a result of a previous successful collaboration between its author, Astrid Lindgren and the composer Sebastian on ‘Ronja, The Robber’s Daughter’.
Also, this great classic within children’s literature has been revised and made more accessible for new generations of children and their parents. So with various episodes from Astrid Lindgren’s first book about Pippi Longstocking, we are introduced to strongest (and maybe richest) girl in the world and follow when she gets into trouble with the Swedish authorities, thieves, circus artists and parents. Evidently accompanied by her two, far more conventional and well-behaved friends Tommy and Annika.
Sebastian has composed a string of melodious and characteristic songs that lift the whole theatre experience up to something rather extraordinary.
