This is a wild story about infatuation, obsession and power. Two boys disappear in a boundless virtual world where everything is possible and where eventually they lose control of their own invention. The boy, Jacob is alone and is being bullied. He secretly falls in love with the popular boy, Alexander. In order to get close to him Jacob creates a false profile on the internet under the name of Maria, a beautiful and intelligent young woman. Maria contacts Alexander, who immediately becomes interested. With her he can live out his true self. Jacob continues to create an army of fake profiles, which he plays with great conviction. Soon Alexander is caught in Jacob’s web, and it becomes deadly. ON/OFF is a love story, running wild. It is also a tribute to the ability of the imagination to concoct a dramatic and seductive world which can remove us from a grey reality. The play mixed love, comedy, action and thrill in a tragic universe, which builds on an abysmal loneliness and need for recognition.
