Kjersti Horn’s stage adaptation of Per Olov Enquist’s novel DOWNFALL (NEDSTÖRTAD ÄNGEL) from 1985: What does it mean to be a human being and what is love? A web of stories seeks answers on the outer edges of what it is to be human. The characters are physically deformed, deceased or morally distorted: The boy who took the lives of two small children, the unfaithful wife, the circus artist with two heads, the insane and the alcoholic mistress. Are they human beings or are they monsters?
