This is the well-known fairytale about the Shepherdess and the Chimney-sweep who are not allowed to be with each other as her father, the Chinese china man has promised her hand in marriage to the crooked General Headquarters-Hindquarters-Gives-Orders-Front-and-Rear-Sergeant-Billygoat-Legs, who has already got 11 wives. And so the Shepherdess and the Chimney-sweep run away together into the great wide world, though unfortunately with the wicked Chinese men in hot pursuit. However, at last after all the hardship they return to a happy ending. The show has plenty of dancing and ear catching songs, which makes it a most charming adaptation.
