The scene is a fisherman’s shack at night. The Wife is asleep, but is soon wakened by the knocking on the door. Enter her husband, and the First and Second Fishermen – all drunk- and the little fabliau unwinds as the Husband falls asleep and the First and Second Man expose their discontent and their frustration through the wife.
