These two one-act plays experiment with the reconstruction of an action, a perpetrator and a victim. Martin Crimp’s surgical cool look dissects the anatomy of civilisation and focuses on the unpredictable and the explosion-like in the violence-sex scenes of a human being. The line between normality and madness is presented just as fluently as in real life, which only makes the texts scarier. Presented at Royal Court, London and on Schaubühne, Berlin.
