Christmas 1968. With a 6-week engagement in London, it looks like Judy Garland’s comeback is becoming reality. The failed marriages, the suicide attempts and the drug abuse are history now, and at age 46 she looks and sings better than ever. The play takes place in London’s Ritz Hotel and describes the last hectic months in Garland’s life and her complicated relationship with her last husband Mickey Deans, her affectionate pianist Anthony Chapman and the fans who adored her. It is an elegant play which follows her life behind the stage with a selection of her most memorable songs – performed by the central actress. This is excellent material for an actress who can sing. Info and video: www.endoftherainbow.info "An incisively truthful musical portrait with an emotional rollercoaster of a performance [...] This is a stunning, bold and bright production with blistering strong dialogue, sharp humour and exemplary acting. Next stop West End or Broadway?” – Edinburgh Guide / "The powerful and moving evocation of an entertainment icon, combining classic singing with a fully-realized dramatic story […] make this portrait of Judy Garland´s last hurrah a high point, if not THE high point of the Festival”– The Stage
