This musical goes behind the scene of show business and reveals all the ambitions, excitement, insecurity, loyalty or lack of it that belongs in the theatre world. The main character, Margo Channing befriends the admirer Eve Harrington, who instantly starts to pull wires in order to take over Margo’s position in the business, her husband and simply anything that will further Eve’s own career. Margo who is at the peak of her career recognises Eve’s drive as the same that got her thus far. However, she is becoming more apprehensive about getting older, as she has realised it takes more than rounds of applause to fulfil life and that true love is essential for happiness.
