JULIE MAJ JAKOBSEN (b. 1982) gratuated from The Danish National School of Performing Arts in 2010 and has since then become a strong voice in Danish theatre. She was a part of the artistic team at Vol. 4 of Teater Momentum and her plays have been produced at various theatres such as Aalborg Theatre, Odense Theatre, Århus Theatre, Grob Theatre, Svalegangen, Mungo Park Kolding, Teater Hund og co., Teatret ved Sorte Hest and Baggårdsteatret. She received the prestigious Reumert Talent Award in 2012 for the play FORSAMLINGSHUSET (THE LOCAL HALL) and was nominated at the Reumert Awards for Best Playwright in 2013 for FUCKING FATTIG (FUCKING POOR). In 2018 she won the Reumert prize as playwright of the year for AFTENLANDET (GET IN), which has been sold for productions in Germany. In 2021 Julie Maj Jakobsen received the Allen Award.
