Bjarne Reuter was born in Brønshøj/Copenhagen in 1950. He is a trained teacher, but has worked full time as a writer since 1980. His books span widely; from magical worlds to the uncensored view on reality; catering for children, teenagers and grown-ups. Because of his sublime use of language, Reuter leaves a trail of affection and care in his books that are often full of hyper, farce-like situations and very rich on humour and madness. To mention some of his most prominent works, one finds: ZAPPA (1977), THE WORLD OF BUSTER (1979), THE BOYS FROM SANKT PETRI (1991) and ONE LIKE HODDER (1998). They have all been made into to film, and very successfully so.
