Ewe Benbenek was chosen the up-and-coming writer of the year in the 2021 Theater Heute yearbook and won the Mülheimer Award for the debut play TRAGÖDIENBASTARD, which is a dramaturgically playful work about family, generations, memory, remembrance, immigration and the breakdown of social boundaries.
