Paul enjoys his solitary life, but when society suddenly demands of him to cut himself off from other people, he begins to miss having company. He dreams back to the time when he was 15, living with his mother and refusing all social life. A time when his body suddenly went crazy and he found himself facing civilization against his own will. A time where he lost control, for once, and noticed that he was surrounded by others…
Sibylle Berg wrote this tour-de-force monologue for the Belgian actor Benny Claessens, who developed it together with the director Ersan Mondtag. The play may / can only be performed by a male actor playing a man.
