The play takes place in a dystopian future where people carries a microchip under their skin. Owen works in a hospital, and one day he brings home a ‘Black Box’, a machine they use to treat people with depression. His successful lawyer wife, Polly, tries the Black Box and is instantly hooked by the virtual world it creates. But the Black boxes turn out to have a hidden agenda making its’ users upload themselves to the network leaving behind numb bodies creating chaos across the globe. Polly realises that she must get rid of the Black Box, but is this really doable?
