Swedish original text

In 1675 71 so-called witches were beheaded and burned in Torsåker – the greatest mass execution in Sweden in peacetime. Were they mad in the 17th Century? Did people actually believe that women went to The Brocken to fuck Satan? Or was this a perfect example of the outcome of medieval spin performed by the Catholic Church?

WITCHES is a feminist investigation of the 17th Century witch-hunt and reminiscences that we still experience today. At a staggering speed the audience is introduced to around 60 characters revealing what happened back then and, in some way, is still going on. – What causes mass-hysteria and online hatred today? Have you participated in fuelling the stake?
