Michael was born and raised in London, England, but has made his home in America. He has written four plays: Cash On Delivery!, Murder in Mind, Point of Death and Tom, Dick and Harry, written with his father, Ray Cooney. Michael has written several feature films including the thrillers Identity (starring John Cusack and Ray Liotta) and 6 Souls (starring Julianne Moore and Jonathan Rhys Meyers). Previously, Michael’s most celebrated film credit was writing and directing the cult phenomenon Jack Frost and its sequel Jack Frost 2 Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman. Other screen credits include The I Inside (starring Ryan Phillipe and Stephen Rea), Murder In Mind (starring Nigel Hawthorne and Mary Louise Parker) and Tracks of a Killer (Starring Kelly LeBrock). Michael has had two Children’s Books published, “George the Germ” and “Fantastic Adventures in the Land of Wishful Thinking” both co-written with Simon James Collier, and his novel IceFire Fantasy is available on iBooks. Michael Lives in Los Angeles with his wife Jessica Collins. He has three children Spencer, Oliver and Jemma.
