For more than twenty years, Jean-Philippe Daguerre has produced a number of shows in leading Parisian theatres with talent and success: Paroles de Prévert, Le Médecin malgré lui, Les Contes des 1001 Nuits, Alice au Pays des Merveilles, Aladin, Cyrano de Bergerac, Le Cid…. Jean-Philippe Daguerre is artistic director of the Compagnie «Le Grenier de Babouchka».
He was nominated for a Molière in 2016 for Aladin, in 2017 for Scapin, and in 2018 for Le Malade imaginaire and Clérambard. 2018 also saw his debut – and his consecration – as an author: the play Adieu Monsieur Haffmann, which he wrote and directed, was awarded 4 Molières. He will be writing and directing again with La Famille Ortiz and Le Petit Coiffeur, to be performed from October 2020, followed in 2022 by Le Voyage de Molière and La Chambre des merveilles.
His last play, Le huitième ciel, has been created in Avignon Festival 2023 and is on stage in Paris from September to November 2023 for a limited run.
