Fitz Patton har komponeret partiturer og lavet lyd design i New York til The Lincoln Center Festival, Manhattan Theatre Club, Playwrights Horizons, The Public Theatre, The Atlantic Theater, Juilliard, Clubbed Thumb, The Flea, Naked Angels, New York Stage and Film, Dallas Theater Center, Philadelphia Theater Co., Calshakes, Baltimore Centerstage, Yale Repertory, Ensemble Theater of Cincinnati, Long Wharf, Arizona Theater, Co., Pasadena Playhouse, Pittsburgh Public Theater, American Players Theater and Coconut Grove. Han har studeret design på Yale School of Drama og komposition på Bard College og Vassar College.
