Elodie Menant

After completing her studies in science, Elodie Menant decided to pursue a career in acting and was trained at the Cours Florent and at the Studio Muller. Among many others, she played in the musical Le Soldat Rose by Louis Chedid at the Casino de Paris, at the Palais des Congrès in Paris and on tour.
She opened up her own company La Compagnie Carinae in 2011 and wrote the stage adaptation of Stefan Zweig’s novel La Pitié Dangereuse as well as the short story La Peur by the same author. She was awarded the prize for Most Promising Actress at the Festival d’Avignon 2013 for her role in La Pitié Dangereuse. She also directed La Peur for which she was nominated at the Molières awards in 2017.
In 2016/2017 she was in Après une si longue nuit by Michèle Laurence, directed by Laurent Natrella, member of the Comédie Française. Since 2018 she’s been playing Est-ce que j’ai une gueule d’Arletty? directed by Johanna Boyé which she co-wrote with Eric Bu. In 2020 the play was awarded the Molière for Best Musical and Elodie Menant was awarded the Molière for Most Promising Actress.
In 2021 she wrote and mounted the production of « Je ne cours pas, je vole ! », directed by Johanna Boyé. The play was produced at the Festival d’Avignon and was awarded funding from the SACD.
